Though far from perfect, the Linksys E2500's ease of use, nice design, and reasonable price make it a very good router for a small home or apartment.

Users upgrading from last year's E2000 give up an antenna and Gigabit Ethernet but gain simultaneous dual-band connectivity, better ease of use, and better 2.4Ghz-band performance. It's a good router, but better throughput at the 5 GHz would make it better.
Read the full review →If you're ok with 10/100 ports and somewhat weaker 5 GHz performance, a refurbished E2500 at $40 is a pretty good deal for a simultaneous dual-band router with guest network capability.
