As an entry level android device, the Optimus V strikes me as a good value. I'm sure it would be easy to find devices that beat it in every category, but for under $150 USD coupled with a no-contract carrier plan - at the time I write this, starting from $25+tax for 5hr/mo talk and...

A fantastic (and incredibly rugged, I drop this phone daily and it always works) deal for a great price. I love this phone, the -only- bad thing about it is the display is incredibly bad, but for the price, it's a steal anyways.

One fo the best intro to Android phones on the market. Great price factor and ease of functions. I have it with Virgin Mobile which is also one of the best cell providers I have ever used.
