The LG BD550 was inexpensive, and there are reasons for that. My modem and my Blu Ray player are nowhere near each other so the ability to stream Netflix when connected to ethernet isn't all that useful for me. The thing is loud, but usually not to the point of disrupting the movie. It plays...

The Blu-ray player came with the TV and it plays DVD's fine but is sometimes very slow with Blu-ray discs. Often used as a Netflix player.
