So that seems more to be an optimistic 5 hours instead of a genuinely achievable 5 hours. I'm hoping the cell is more in the 40-50wh class, because a <40wh battery in a 1.36Kg high-end notebook is kind of pathetic.
) This little machine is fantastic! Able to play light games (tested Torchlight) and flipping around between windows is quick and snappy. Minor note, mine shipped with BIOS 1.10 so I flashed to 1.11. Supposedly it improves video performance. I tried fullscreen 1080p Youtube video and it choked up a bit, but 720p works just fine. As others have noted, the fan hums along pretty regularly but it is not too distracting.
i wish it was silent like my macbook pro. the laptop runs completely cool even under constant moderate load. the screen is quite bad. the image quality is dull, bad viewing angles, and not very bright. i do like that it's a MATTE screen. i am not complaining too much since i only paid $360, including 10% tax.
5Kg I'd have tossed my X201T's aside faster than you can say 'weight weenie'. Never mind, I'll probably pick up the standard X220s to take my current 'tossable' machines upmarket. As much as the Fujitsus are decent for what they are and how much they are, I'm not used to bargain-basement hardware and I've been feeling that being an issue as of late on the PH530.

Currently i'm debating between one of lenovo's thinkpad's, but I am open to any other suggestions you may have, my ideal system would have 4+GB ram, dedicated Graphics and a decent battery life, and I would prefer to spend under $1000 USD. I've been loving me test drive of windows 8. it's smoother than windows 7. But... All the features that make it really worth having are for a touch screen. Hey all. I just ordered a new laptop, a Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E220s, so I'm super excited. It's quite a small computer though (12.5"), and Lenovo gives you the option to put an SSD in it at checkout. However, I couldn't afford to do that and just got the standard 320GB HDD that came with it originally. However, I've heard of numerous people with this particular model sticking an SSD in this. Is that possible? If so, what size (dimensions and type) SSD do I need?
Just got my new ThinkPad T420S and very stoked to get it up and running. It's my 1st laptop really configured the way I want. I've heard some stuff and did a little research on the "bloatware" that comes preloaded.
