When I got my first look at the Zi6, I had an inkling it could be the best "cheap" pocket camcorder yet, and I was right. I've been using it for a while both indoors and outdoors, and found the video quality to be stellar no matter the situation.

Overall, the once or twice a year shooter who just wants a camcorder in their pocket on vacation will probably find the Kodak Zi6 a fine choice. It's also not a bad option for high school or younger filmmakers who can't afford (or be trusted) with a $1000 device. The Flip is still the...
Read the full review →It's kind of amazing to think that nowadays, you can walk around with a high definition camcorder in your back pocket, ready to capture action at a moment's notice. The Kodak Zi6 is exactly this type of camera. Something you can throw into your pocket, backpack, or bag, without too much...
Read the full review →We needed 35 video cameras at work, on a budget. Everyone recommended the Flip but I had concerns. The built-in battery looked like a problem - what if it died while a reporter was in the field? Storage was limited to the on-board memory. And we had some issues with the file format. The Zi6 came...
Read the full review →This camera has its pros, cons, and some that are just too difficult to know now. Here are the Pros: * Up to 720P at 60 fps (Also takes SD vidsas well) * Still image capture (standard digital images at 5M) * SDHC card support (although I cannot get mt 16 or 32 GB SDHC cards running.) *...
Read the full review →Due to release of the Kodak Zi8, the Kodak Zi6 is coming down in price. Recently I was able to pick one up with a 8 Gb SD card for $100. Really like the idea you can additional storage by just replacing the SD card and also the AA batteries that you can buy anywhere. Also nice that you can...
Read the full review →Overall, this is a great camcorder. It has HD720, crisp audio, is lightweight (It feels like it would break if you dropped it) and unlike its competitors, has removable batteries. It offers HD @ 720p 30/60FPS, VGA, and still capabilities. Macro/Landscape mode, with beautiful quality on macro...
Read the full review →The Kodak Zi6 is lightweight, easy to use, and takes smooth HD video and crisp Macro photos. And it holds SD Cards, something the Flip Mino and Video Ultra don’t d all this for $179, the same price as the Flip Mino. The Mino has a more streamlined design, but we’d rather carry and use the Kodak...
Read the full review →I got this camera refurbished from Woot for just $70. I've been looking into it for a while, and it appealed to me for many reasons... Unlike the Flip Mino HD, this camera has swappable SD cards and batteries. I imagine a lot of people find this as a turn off, but if you will be doing a...
Read the full review →I bought this camera just before Christmas 2008 for a holiday by the sea. Outdoor results in the sunshine are nothing short of amazing - quite easily beating my camcorder. If you use it outside you're in for a treat but, as with other other compact, cheap HD pocket devices, the quality takes...
Read the full review →I got this camera so my wife and I could record video of our baby born this year. Video looks good, exceeds my expectation by a mile but the audio ruins the whole experience. Kodak has seen fit to correct the screech on the Zi8 but not on the Zi6. Customer service chat is ridiculously difficult...
Read the full review →Back then, in 2009, this was an amazing camera. My first HD camera. The camera is just like a bigger phone. The menu is simple and intuitive. What I didn't liked about this one was the stabilization. It was practically missing, so I had to keep it as steady as possible when recording.
Read the full review →Good: -stunningly vibrant & crisp video when shot in sunlight -expandable memory (up to 32GB SDHC) -very pocket-able -good battery life 1-1/2 hrs on 2xAA (i use Sanyo Eneloop NiMH & the bundled Kodak NiMH) -very fast transfer of videos to computer using flip-out usb (compared to reading from SD...
Read the full review →I was able to pick up the zi6 for $99 refurbished from amazon.com, and at this amazing price, who could go wrong? Added an 8GB SDHC card for $20 and its a complete package for less than $120. Much cheaper than the competing Flip HD cameras. The quality of build seems good and sturdy even though...
Read the full review →I like the fact that, although this comes with rechargeable batteries, they are just AA so if need be you can always carry spare batteries unlike devices in which the batteries are sealed in the unit. Another good feature is the removable media so that if you are not in a position to transfer...
