I have really enjoyed these headphones over the past 804 days, but my second pair just went dead in the right ear. (The first pair went dead in the left ear.) Is there something out there with equal (or better) quality and convenience but more durable?

Bought these after my Etymotics died and they've lasted brilliantly, even surviving a run through the washing machine. Great sound, great mic.

Microphone Quality

How is the quality of the microphone on these headphones? I was considering buying these headphones as a replacement to the included Apple earbuds, but I wanted to know if the microphone was worth the extra $20 versus the Image S4.
