For my full review, visit my blog: http://ronoffringa.wordpress.com/2011/05/17/joli-o... I have an Asus Eee PC 1005PE. I bought it to use in class for taking notes and for writing papers away from home. I upgraded it from Windows 7 Starter to Windows 7 Pro to get a... Read the full review →

It seems like this is a Ubuntu-based Linux OS with NBR installed, optimized for netbooks (Eee PC 900 running smoothly with it), but as my recent comment to the fan page of Jolicloud of Facebook: "Even though this is for netbooks (assuming so), it works incredibly well on my Lenovo W500. For a... Read the full review →

I installed Jolicloud looking for something new and found out that it was nothing more than Ubuntu Netbook Remix. All that Jolicloud does differently is create a shortcut to your Jolicloud account, which is a webpage, that has more bookmarks to popular social networking sites. I was disappointed... After many rants and raves about the Cr-48 and how google sees the future of computing - i had to come out and tell the world about how the future is already in the past. The future of cloud based computing is most likley already sitting on your desk, you just need the right operating system!... Read the full review →

I will not try and write a negitave review on this and focus on the positives. First off I have used Linux for a few years now and have become quite accustomed to Ubuntu. So when I booted up Jolicloud for the first time I was surprised a bit to see Ubuntu Netbook remix. Well the only initial... Read the full review →

Great for netbooks and an alternative to installing Chrome OS or Android Honeycomb/ICS onto a small Internet-browsing machine. Read the full review →

If you're looking for a lightweight OS, I don't think this is it. I didn't find it was any faster than having Windows 7 on my computer and the "apps" are glorified bookmarks. I think something like Chrome OS will be a better alternative once it comes out. Read the full review →

Basically, I wasn't expecting anything when I installed it and quickly saw how useful this could be to many people and easily enjoy a non Windows experience. There are many Apps you can easily install and the list of apps is pretty lengthy. I was pretty surprised to see certain apps on there... Read the full review →

This is an interesting concept. Google ChromeOS is much the same in this aspect of Web based OS's that will start cropping up around us over the next few years. What I like most about this is the extremely LOW system requirements for it to work. If you want to get this up and running on a computer... Read the full review →

I'm personally an owner of a HP Mini 1030nr Netbook and utilize the machine, largely, for web browsing if I'm in a coffee shop, some note taking and browsing in classes, and browsing at home when I'm not next to my main Windows 7 machine. Jolicloud works fantastic for this... Read the full review →

I installed the OS thinking I could use it as a fast booting browser to do my banking on it. Unfortunately, the system took about 3 minutes to load (I get 45sec in win xp on the same laptop) and the OS had serious issues recognizing my trackpad. I had to use keyboard shortcuts to reboot back to... Read the full review →
