Work at gdgt

gdgt is hiring! We have some positions to fill, so if you love gadgets and think you have what it takes, get in touch! Current positions include:

Front-end engineer (SF Bay area)
If you're the kind of person dreams in XHTML Strict, genuinely believes that CSS changed your life, knows exactly how a little RDF/XML can add some semantic web spice to a front-end, and who is counting the days until the final HTML5 spec is submitted to the W3C, you're our kind of gal or guy. gdgt can use your help -- get in touch, we'd love to hear from you!

QA engineer (SF Bay area)
Your friends may think you're kind of anal-retentive, but maybe they just don't know how good QA person you really are. If you're a master-bug finder who knows the web inside and out, have experience in deep, creative QA testing methodologies, developing automated testing processes, and understand how web apps work (from front-end code, to back-end code, to version control systems), definitely get in touch!

Moderator / intern (SF Bay area, NY metro area)
We're looking for someone who can help with the day-to-day workings of the site, including approving new submissions to the product database, moderating discussions, dealing with user support issues, and generally keeping an eye on things. Experience with online communities is a plus (obviously), but love of gadgets and consumer tech is a must. Position is unpaid; you should either live somewhere near the SF Bay area or in the Eastern time zone (preferably as close to New York City as possible) and be available mornings.

Trust us, you'll have a blast. To apply, use our contact form (select "other") to send us a message with:

  • A little something about yourself
  • Why you're interested in the job
  • Some of your favorite gadgets on your list (and why)
  • Your employment history
Make sure you include title of the job you're applying for in the subject.
