Conclusion: We like it

If you're ready to move beyond all those bulky, traditional speaker docks that require you to, well, dock your device, be sure to check out the Jambox: a portable battery-powered Bluetooth stereo speaker that looks and sounds great, considering its size. It also doubles as a speakerphone, and will work with your iPhone, Android, or any other Bluetooth-capable device. And if you really want to cable up, it still has a standard 3.5-inch stereo input, too.

it's the perfect way to augment anything you'd share that doesn't have decent speakers of its own. Plugged into a bedroom TV, connected to an iPad or typical laptop -- or any phone you'd care to name -- there is absolutely no comparison between the Jambox and the drivers these devices ship with.

The Jawbone Jambox is a rechargeable Bluetooth speaker with advanced features, a stunning design, and a balanced sound that defies its small, convenient size.

This isn't going to be an impulse purchase for most people, but it packs a major upgrade in sound quality into very little space. I think frequent business travelers are especially likely to find it appealing.

Offers some great features, long battery life, and solid sound. However, its $199 price tag simply isn't justified ... If you really need a wireless speakerphone/music speaker in one product, it's a good choice, but there are better dedicated alternatives.

The Jawbone JAMBOX’s RRP of $199 is no small amount, but the payoff is audio performance that belies its size and portability ... If you’re serious about speakerphone and mobile music, the combination of flexibility and above-average sound quality makes it tough to beat.

I absolutely love this product. The universality of having a Bluetooth speaker makes it easy to use across different brands of devices without having to worry about things like dock compatibility. The sound quality is superb for such a small device. I'm not an audiophile, so perhaps more...

I may be in the minority, but I'm not too thrilled with the Jambox. The overall audio quality is excellent, but the volume is limited at best. If I have it on with any appliance running in the background, the sound from the Jambox is completely diminished. From a design perspective, it's ok, but...

Battery life is far better than claimed. Gets about 20 hours+ easily. A great little thing, but not a patch on the Bose bluetooth speaker we also own. Saying that, it's 1/5 the size and half the cost!

I resisted buying a Jambox for over a year, because the $199 price is pretty outrageous, Last New Year's Eve, however, I found myself reaching for a red one at an Apple Store, and before my head knew what was happening, my hands had whipped out my iPhone and scanned it. Back at the hotel, it...

Only thing I have an issue with is successfully pairing the device on my first attempt to my iPhone. It usually takes me a couple tries to get it to properly pair. It can be very annoying. But other than that, it's an amazing device.

Not much more to be added beyond info from the manufacturer. I regularly use the unit for voice conferencing and it performs very well with both iPhone and Blackberry. Paired with my Mac books it works great for audio. So far not much success pairing with Windows devices, however the supplied...

Pricey. Yes, quite expensive. I purchased this used on eBay and am completely happy with the product for the reduced price I paid. Still not sure if I'd pay full price. It's a great little unit, but I'd say you have to be sure you're going to use it a lot to justify retail price.

Amazingly rich sound, beautiful texture and surprisingly good spatial characteristics. volume a bit on the low side and heights can be a bit distorted when on a very loud setting. Overall this box delivers exceptionally good sound considering the size factor. In liveaudio mode, if you have music...
