After a couple of months of usage my Icon pretty much stopped working: mic had an ambient noise, and the volume became so low (even at maximum capicity) that I…
switched back to my Apple headset. Lame.

These look pretty nice and the sound quality and features are good too. Do you think any of them are OK for a male to use, they all looked a bit feminine to me?

Pretty impressed with the Jawbone ICON firmware update process.
Install a small app, log into the Website, pick a feature you want, and the site talks to the app and updates the firmware on the headset. A2DP on my iPhone 3GS works pretty well too; listened to a podcast on my Jawbone, then held in the button to change volume (another new feature in the update). Rock.

The Jawbone ICON can now do A2DP! Thanks to a software update from MYTALK.jawbone.

Jawbone ICON "Rogue" vs the highly regarded Plantronics Voyager Pro
Although the ICON has the great feature of using words to let you know its status (if its on, battery, connection, etc) it's voice quality isn't as good as my Voyager Pro. I compared the two using the same phone (Treo 755p) as well as using it while on a WebEx conference call. It's a trade-off, do you need Jawbone's "Noise Assassin" more or would you rather enjoy the loud, crisp, and clear voice clarity of Voyager Pro when the background noise is pretty low? At least...

MyTALK is in Private Beta!!!!
One of the biggest selling point to this device is the ability to personalize behavior using the apparently amazing "MyTalk" software. If you are planning to buy the device, go to mytalk.jawbone.com right now and submit a request to be in the beta. Aliph is taking between 30 minutes and 11 days to process the requests. As far as the device itself is concerned, I find it comfortable and incredibly easy to pair with my two devices (BB 9630 & iPhone 3G). Call quality is great, and the...

Icon vs. 1st Gen Jawbone
I've been using a 1st Gen Jawbone for a year. I like the sound quality, the design, and how well it works with my iPhone. I have two things I don't like about it: -I find the volume too low in the car while I'm on the freeway -Despite trying all the ear attachments, it doesn't fit snugly in my ear Do any of you gdgt'ers find the Icon an improvement on those two points?

Could it be any less attractive?
I'm sorry, I'm just not loving the design here. The past Aliph devices were nice and sleek, but this one looks like you're wearing a domino on your ear. Shouldn't these things be moving more into an organic-looking style, as opposed to super sci-fi? Maybe it's a personal preference, but if I'm wearing a bluetooth headset, I want it as inconspicuous as possible.
