It's a cute device, my wife warmed up to it quickly and threw out our nice iPod dock/alarm clock.

Chumby is still a little rough around the edges but the interface seems to work well enough.

Remove the front panel and scrape off the paint in front of the IR receiver LED to make the remote actually useable. Plays Netflix HD well. Decently quiet.

Best blu ray player with wifi and netflix?

With holiday shopping in full swing I am looking into a blu ray player as a gift. Looks like in general they have come down considerably in price (and will continue with 3D players slowly coming out), but IMO a quality blu ray player should have netflix enabled and it should be able to connect via wifi. Ok TV for the first year or so, but now just outside the warranty period I have a huge discolored stripe in the middle of the display. Soooo frustrating.

It turns out that the message you may get saying: "Confirm your internet connection" is mis-leading. The problem turns out, has absolutely nothing to do with the internet connection. After all, the box will stream a movie from Netflix just fine, why wouldn't be able to get a connection when playing a disk? As I understand it, Best Buy (aka Insignia) has discontinued their mp3 player lines. Which is a shame. The pilot was the best bargain out there. I picked mine up new for $80 over a year ago, while other video players of the same size were $200 or more. It was a no-brainer. Any way to get that feature into the specs? Certain DAP's have file bookmarks and others have playlist bookmarks. The number of bookmarks available would be helpful as well..

I jumped the gun today, and bought the NS-HD01 for the promise of portable and mobile HD Radio listening. The receiver uses the headphones as the antenna for radio reception much like the zune and other portable MP3 players. This solution proves to be completely inadequate. With Bestbuy launching the sale of the first inexpensive(?) portable HD radio and more stations going HD, will the format now reach critical mass? More cars and home theater receivers are including it and with the zune HD going to have it, things are looking on the up and up.

Is there a way to share photos that are semi-private? I want to send photos of my son to my parents and in-laws, but I don't want them to be "public.

" I can share with a password between Photobucket accounts, but when sharing between Infocast "friends" there is no password request, and you are simply told that non-public photos can not be shared. (LAME!) Hope they fix this.
