You will have to pardon me if this is a stupid question, I was wondering if there was anything in hardware specs of the Huawei E960 would prevent it from being upgraded to HSDPA+ as a firmware update?
If you've got your Pulse from T-Mobile UK when the phone comes with a screen protector fitted on the phone out-of-the-box. But it makes the screen feel so unresponsive that i was sure that it was resistive instead of the capacitive screen listed in the specs. But after removing the screen protector i can safely say that the screen is almost as responsive as an iPhones screen. Just a little tip !
Hey everyone, do someone have an idea if/how one can unlock the British Pulse? Or if I can let them (T-Mobile) unlock it for a small fee (and how? Some people have talked about a fee of 10-15 pound, after a month, which would be ok if I don't have to have the phone there physically). I have someone to bring it out of the UK on the 21st (if it is available until then), but I don't want to get a brick (I don't suppose it works on the German T-Mobile network).
The old drivers for this modem don't work in Snow Leopard, you need to download this http://www.huaweidevice.com/resource/mini/20090925... and then you can either use the mobile connect program from huawei (what you might have used previously) or use the built in dialer on Snow Leopard. Anyhow, you need to download this 64bit drivers first.
Ok so I picked this up, first with a ZTE brand modem only to find that it is not compatible with the router. This was mentioned in the user manual, not on the outside packaging. Of course the helpful troll behind the counter said the modem was compatible. So, the manual states, that you need a 3 branded (UK) Huawei modem. Ok, I says, and goes to get one. Picked up an E1550. Now I'm still in the air on this one since it is a PAYG sim and is at least detected by the router. But this is all it...
