With its large high resolution display, beefy processor, and LTE data speeds, the HTC Vivid is an excellent multimedia machine. But keep an eye on that battery; you might not finish a whole movie over 4G before you have to plug it in again.

As one of the first phones to support AT&'s 4G LTE network, the HTC Vivid is a good choice if you're an AT&T customer and live someplace where the company has rolled out LTE. Even if you don't yet have access to AT&T's newer network, the Vivid is a good buy at $99, and has a bright, sharp 4.5-inch display and a great camera. Its battery life, however, is on the short side; a common issue with large-screen, 4G-capable Android phones. If you're planning on streaming lots of videos, or even engaging in long conversations on this one, be prepared to plug it in regularly, or carry an extra battery. At over 6 ounces, it's also a little heavier than some other phones with similar screens (such as AT&T's Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket), so be prepared to carry that extra weight.

This device is made to push AT&T’s new LTE network and is HTC’s first stab at AT&T’s new network, ... and they've created a smartphone that’s certainly up to the task of downloading media quick, ... and working nicely with a dual-core processor.
Read the full review →You now have a choice of LTE Android phones on AT&T, and all of them are a good choice. Specs are similar, performance is similar, hell they even look similar. If you're a fan of HTC Sense, it's a no brainer -- get the Vivid. If you're not, look at one of the others.
Read the full review →As the first LTE phone, HTC’s Vivid is as solid a start as they come. It feels good, has excellent build quality, and is a great camera and camcorder. Even without LTE the users can’t go wrong with the Vivid, though it’s not as powerful as some competing models that have access to AT&T’s 4G.
Read the full review →The HTC Vivid is a remarkable, modern smartphone with performance that matches or bests any Android phone I’ve used. It’s fast, smooth, capable and HTC’s Sense UI wraps it all in a gorgeous package. ... If I didn’t mind the look of the Vivid, it would be a phone I could carry regularly.
Read the full review →The qHD screen is nice and easy to read, and when the 4G service works (while the battery will suffer), the speeds are blazing. Alas, it still feels like a slightly above average device, and for that, we give a slightly above average score.

Very happy with it... sure I envy my daughter who is rocking a OneX but this phone is still plenty powerful. the one thing I AM unhappy about is the lack of dev community due to AT&T putting some crippling code in... International versions have Jelly...
Read the full review →The HTC Vivid to me is a great phone at a great price (currently at $99 on AT&T). HTC brand I trust, because they do very good devices, Dual-Core, 4G LTE, and Gingerbread. The HTC Vivid has also been list as getting the Ice Cream Sandwich OS. All I call this phone future proof, one because...
Read the full review →Let me say, I purchased the Vivid because I broke my Inspire. As I don't live in an LTE area I cannot comment on the speed difference. I liked the phone but the capacity of the battery it came with was far too small. I was able to purchase a larger 3rd party battery which improved things. The...

Read the full review →This phone is absolutely brilliant. Don't let other reviewers convince you of the SGSII or Skyrocket because benchmarks mean absolutely nothing compared to real world performance. I've owned this device for quite a while now and came from the HTC Inspire 4G. This is the phone I have been waiting...
