Rating
- Reception and call quality Excellent call quality with strong antennas
- Display Vivid colors without being cartoonish. Excellent clarity.
- Battery life Even for a 4G LTE phone, the battery life is poor.
- Camera Very good 8mp camera
- Ease of use Sense UI is more bloated than stock Android, but it is easy to learn and use.
- Design and form factor It is practical and functional, but not a phone that your friends and family will ogle.
- Portability (size / weight) A bit thicker than many competitors, such as the Razr, but it feels solid.
- Media support Netflix, Audible.com, Podcasts, Nook/Kindle... plays them all with no issues.
- Durability Only had the phone for 2 months, but seems durable. No scratches or issues.
- Ecosystem (apps, accessories, etc.) Google Play Store for apps and plenty of accessories
Detailed review
I've had the Rezound for about 2 months. Other than poor battery life, this is an excellent phone.
PROS:
PROS:
- The radios and antenna are strong
- No problems switching from 4G to 3G to WiFi
- Great screen
- Ample specs - CPU/GPU/RAM, etc.
- Beats audio is a nice feature - though I rarely use it
- It just works - no freezes or other issues that require re-booting (except as mentioned below)
- Battery life - it's not just "not good" it's POOR. I can easily drain the battery in 7 or 8 hours during normal use: texting, light web/app browsing, taking some pics, short videos, auto uploading pics/vids to a cloud service, and having normal notifications active.
- Occasionally, almost every picture in my gallery disappears. Re-booting solves the problem. It doesn't happen often (3 times in 2 months), but it is annoying.
