Facebook (build 132866) has been downloading forever. How can I get rid of it?
details
It just appeared in my notification blind saying that it was downloading Facebook (build 132866). It's not downloading from the Play Store. If I check the App Info (hold on the notification and click App Info), it's the Download Manager, not Play Store. According to the Play Store, I have the latest version of Facebook and I don't have automatic updating on it. Clicking this download doesn't open anything. I tried restarting my phone and it was the first thing to appear on my phone, even before... Read more →

How to access a phone connected to a computer over the network?
details
As of Jelly Bean, Android devices connected to computer appear as a device rather than just a drive being connected to the computer. As a result, it's not a simple F:/ or something similar to access it. If it doesn't have a drive letter, you can't use the simple \\computer-name\drive-letter$ to access it over the network. Do you guys know any other way to access the phone over the network?

iPhone 5 or HTC One X+
details
(All on ATT):: In June I sold off my iPhone 4 and went to the HTC One X. I have an extra upgrade on my account and I have a buyer for the One X, so the question is this: do I stay in the HTC vein and get the One X+ or jump for the iPhone 5?
I do miss iMessage and AirPlay. All of my friends have iOS, so FaceTime is a standard. I have all the apps I need for both iOS and Android so I am not torn by ecosystem.
The things I am concerned about giving up from Android: everything I have is google... Read more →

HTC One X or Samsung Galaxy S3 vs Nexus 4
details
I can buy any phone without a contract, I nearly bough the HTC One X or the S3 but waited for a vanilla Android because the updates are slow on HTC and I don't like the Samsung interface. I don't need LTE as the service isn't available yet in my area. Is this phone really that bad that I should choose out of my original 2 choices?

What's the best unlocked android phone for $400 dollars?
details
I've saved up enough for a galaxy nexus which is what I want because I want an unlocked phone running stock Android 4.0 that gets regular updates. My current phone is a Nexus One and that's what I love about that phone.
Then I realised that the version of the Galaxy Nexus that is available online is the 16GB version. I wanted the 32GB version. That's the only way I could stand the Galaxy Nexus not having a micro sd card slot.
So I'd be willing to forgo getting the Nexus for a phone in the same... Read more →

Which Verizon andriod phone should I buy?
details
Since the rumors about Verizon no longer grandfathering in unlimited data for people who are moving from a 3g phone to a 4g LTE phone I am looking to upgrade from my HTC Incredible now rather than wait and hope for Verizon to get the HTC One X.
The main contenders are in order of my current top pick down are:
Samsung Galaxy Nexus
-Highest rated and least expensive (I don't mind spending money but I don't know if there is currently a Verizon phone that is worth it)
-Only downsides are the camera... Read more →

Will the next iPhone have a larger screen?
details
[Just jotting down some thoughts quickly here, apologies for any typos!]
There have been conflicting reports on this, but the WSJ published something today indicating that Apple is likely going with a 4-inch or larger screen for the next iPhone (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702303... We heard these rumors last time around, and Apple stuck with a 3.5-inch display, so I certainly would not be surprised if the screen on the next iPhone remains the same.... Read more →

Is there a issue with Ice Cream Sandwich and App Running in the background??
details
Since I upgraded my HTC Vivid to Ice Cream Sandwich I notice a problem with I think is the background process of applications. Perfect example would be that of the app Pulse. I have it set so that after I read an article it hides it.
So I could be in one article and then use the task switcher to go to another app to do something and after a period of time (not sure exactly how long) when I return to Pulse, it gives me the booting up splash screen like it is opening for the first time and now my... Read more →

What is the major difference between Sense 3.6 and 4.0
details
So it is looking like I may get the HTC One X, and I'm just curious is there is any major difference. I currently have the HTC Vivid which I just upgrade to ICS but it only goes up to Sense 3.6.

So I wondering is there is any specific feature that the 3.6 doesn't have that 4.0 will. I know I can't get that Dropbox 25GB deal unless it is a device with Sense 4.0, but other than that. Are they any different from each other?
