Unless you absolutely need to have a hardware keyboard for massive text entry, there's no real reason why Android seekers shouldn't get the G2 when it debuts on T-Mobile soon.
Read the full review →In all, the myTouch has smoothed out nearly all of the G1′s numerous rough edges. We may not be dumping our iPhones for it just yet, but at least the open source crowd no longer has to be embarrassed about its top-of-the-line handset.
Read the full review →The T-Mobile myTouch 3G with Google is the closest thing T-Mobile has to an iPhone, which will win it a lot of fans.
Read the full review →A good phone and one that will do well, just don’t expect to feel grown up owning it.
Read the full review →Though it isn't perfect, Android 1.5 is a significant improvement over the first version, and software-wise, the Magic is much improved over the Dream. It does have a few niggles that require sorting out, especially for text input.
Read the full review →In short, this is a very good upgrade from HTC, which has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the last 18 months, and all we can do now is salivate at the prospect of a year chock-full with new Android handsets. However, they'll all have to go the extra mile to beat this new kid on the block.
Read the full review →Bottom line: if you want a phone to surf the web on and can’t afford the expense of an iPhone, or are already overly reliant on Google apps (that’s me by the way), you won’t be disappointed with the HTC Magic.
Read the full review →I should start off by saying that my last 3 mobile phones have been the Samsung SGH-I300, HTC TyTN II and then a SE Xperia X1, all very good phones with thier own pros and cons. The reason for me having an HTC Magic is that i dropped my Xperia and killed it. I don' t purchase phone insurance...
Read the full review →Reviewing the HTC Magic or My Touch as it will be known in the US is as much about, if not more about reviewing it's Android operating system than it is the device itself. Based on that I'll split the review down the middle, Hardware then Software. I'll try my best to keep the...
Read the full review →I've been quite pleased so far with this myTouch 3G. It has been quite reliable, battery can last up to two days as long as you're careful about turning off GPS, lowering back-light, not running too many background apps. My biggest problem comes from a twofold limitation: Android OS...
Read the full review →Good usability and (with root access) high customization possibilities. Probably cupcake (Android) is not the best OS in the world, but like an Linux OS, you can change it, and you have a great community behind. Join the community and help us to improve this great device. Otherwise Google is hard...
Read the full review →This would be a great little phone if it weren't so damn slow. The problem was when they upgraded the version of android that was on it. Instead of the faster 1.6 that it started with, they upgraded it to something newer, and unfortunately the phone's specs just couldn't keep up. It's so slow...
Read the full review →The Magic, or as it is sold in the states, the MyTouch 3G, is a phone that got less attention than it deserved, but it is now considered old hardware. The G1 got credit for being the first android phone, but the magic, the second, did a lot of things better than its older brother, like improved...
Read the full review →I have used the HTC Magic for a few months and am generally satisfied with the build quality. The best thing about this phone is hands down the Android OS. There is just so much potential there. I actually like that this phone does not have a physical keypad as I don't like the look and...
Read the full review →I've had the myTouch 3G for around 4 weeks now and it's my favorite phone that I have ever owned. I have found it to be very responsive and speedy. It could definitely use more RAM though because once you get a few apps going, the device does show some lag. The myTouch is also...
Read the full review →I desperately needed a new phone and I run my small business on Google Apps so it made sense to upgrade to an Android device. The mytouch is a nice little phone with a beautiful screen and I love Android as an OS. It's comfortable to hold and doesn't feel like a brick in your pocket (I...
Read the full review →I like it, you actually can tell that htc, google, and t-mobile is trying very hard to win your love. As a freelancer with a list of clients and vendors, apps like google voice and other google apps really makes my life easy. And did I mention it's not on AT&T? the bad - under power...
Read the full review →bit underpowered compared to the current crop, but faster since 2.2.1. All and all it has been a game changer in my life.
Read the full review →[Software] By the time MyTouch was available, Android had proven itself to be a mobile OS at least worth looking at. Apps in the marketplace were were seeing a decent growth and some very cool features were being introduced. Key among them, and this speaks to the form factor of the phone, was the...
