Mostly happy with my HTC Legend, but it's not brilliant.
HTC Sense is slow and clunky and feels unpolished. The handset itself is somewhat slow and underpowered, and I have to very carefully balance the settings and running apps to make sure my battery lasts more than 6 hours.

Anyone comment on wi-fi reception versus the iPhone? I saw a review imply it was not great.

If I buy an Android phone like this off a reseller with no contract, (i.e. 'out right'), as I have no official network, how do I get updates?
Is it easy to update Android manually? I am thinking about switching from iPhone... thanks

The engineer in me swoons...
I can't believe there aren't more unibody cell phones considering how elegant a solution it is to issues of durability, form factor, minimalism, aesthetics, etc. particularly for luxury items like smart-phones where consumers are already comfortable paying a premium (mitigating the cost concerns). I hope this starts a trend. Now that clamshell/flip phones have fallen out of favor and candybars are the norm, I'd like to see more phones that owners can carry comfortably without a case...

So close to being my next phone...
But I don't think I could deal with the slower processor and lower screen resolution when compared to the Desire. Guess they had to differentiate them some other way than just looks-wise.
