I'm interested in purchasing the HTC Legend from Virgin Mobile in Canada.
details
It recently launched, and it looks like a great, cheap alternative to the Milestone (Canada's version of the Droid.) However, I do not want to pay 50 dollars a month for a data plan I'm never going to use... Would I be able to purchase the Legend with the voice plan for $25/mo, or would I be required to purchase a data plan with it? I want an HTC Desire, for the screen real-estate mostly, but I'm concerned about battery life.
details
I'm using iPhone 3GS and it only lasts me 6 hours max (I use a lot of online stuff) but the old 3G was too slow. So, my question is, do you think I'd be disappointed with the Desire's battery life? I have 2 other choices in mind: HTC Legend (small screen, but new android and new chip) or Moto Droid (large screen but old chip, also android 2.1 though.) These two should consume less power but might be a little slow, esp for the Droid. Any comments appreciated!

North America?
details
Ok, to start off, I know that the HTC Legend is NOT coming to North America (currently not planned, anyway). But, will the hardware announced today run in North America, specifically on HSPA+ in Canada, if imported? I don't know much about 3G bands, etc. Thanks to anyone who can help!
