The development community is great, and right now they're working on making a stable 2.3 port. Right now I'm using AOSP's 2.2 ROM and it flies at 768 mhz. I decided to pass up on the EVO, Epic and Shift 4g phones in lieu of the upcoming dual core phones. minor issues i had: facebook sync - there's a fix though camera not showing anything - fix is in the works. overall it's great. all the major things are working (no flash though. don't care about that personally).
i love its sense user interface i wish android was as customisable as Windows for its consumers who are using android phones. i am not happy with the fact that i cant control which apps to run automatically and which ones to get rid off that comes preinstalled.
The best example I have is Google Earth not coming up (even when I scanned the QR code from the web). Others will install but will not open. I downloaded the official release overnight and will re-flash my phone after work and see if that works.
