Having trouble with the touchscreen/keyboard. The buttons on the bottom edges are sometimes unresponsive (a, l and delete).
Is it a problem with the touchscreen or is it a software issue? It's somewhat intermittent as well.

With my HTC Hero, I used to plug it in when I went to bed, then unplug it in the morning.
I noticed, though, that when my Samsung Transform is fully charged, it gives a message saying something like "The phone is fully charged, unplug it now." Is it harmful to leave it plugged in once it's charged up?

Is it possible to use the Hero as a development phone without having any service with Sprint at all?
I'm on AT&T, Sprint's coverage is horrible around here, and I don't want to have to get service on the phone if I don't have to just to develop android apps.

My current phone is the Sprint HTC Hero. I just moved to a new apartment, and my signal is horrible.
I will sometimes get notified that I have voicemail when my phone never even rang, and my calls are dropped constantly, plus the quality is bad while I'm on a call. I used to have an iPhone and I'm thinking of switching back, but the problem is I have no idea whether the signal with AT&T will be any better. Photos aren't Geotagging on my HTC Hero
When I upload the pictures I take with the phone onto my computer, I find that they are neither geotagged in iPhoto nor when uploaded to Picasa. I have the geo-tagging box ticked in the camera app and GPS activated on the phone. Has anyone had troubles like this? Thanks

Exchange active sync seems to have stopped working after many months of it being OK. What ever happens I cant receive email from my inbox.
Manually syncing sub-folders is OK, sending mail is OK.

i just got the hero when ever i take a picture then try to send in a message it says my file is too big i checked my setting on my messeges the highest i can go…
is 1 mb but the pic are always over that and that taking the pic with camera phone does anyone have this problem?

I have an Australian (GSM) Hero. I've just moved to the USA and signed up for T-Mobile, but so far I'm only getting EDGE speeds.
As I understand it, T-Mobile uses the 2100MHz HSPA band, which my phone should support, so I should be getting 3G speeds, right?

the problems i am having is loss of network where never before i had this problem with 1.5.
2nd problem i have is running applications that i never use for example, peep, stock, calender and many more. is there any option like windows msconfig to specify or allow what processes or apps to start automatically with the phone. i just need a way to control my phone on how i want it to operate.

I'm very new to the HTC Hero.
How do I save my ringtones that I've downloaded to my sd card and also how do I personalize my contacts with their own special ringtone. I like this phone so far but much more complicated than my Blackberry.
My Android market is not downloading anymore.
When I choose to upgrade or install a new app then it will change the list to "start downloading" or "Authorizing credit card" but would never actually start downloading the app. Stopping all the downloads won't help, next time you add something to the queue the same thing happens again. Even turning the phone off and restarting it won't help. It also doesn't matter whether I am on 3G or WiFi, doesn't help. Last App I installed before this happened was...

Has anyone noticed a delay in custom ringtones? I have. Now, I asked HTC if they knew anything about this. I'm trying to narrow down solutions.
One would be to move them to my phone, which I am unsure how to do since I need to move it into the root MP3 folder for ringtones, the other option is a faster SD card than the one they give you for free with the phone. Now, my issue being that the ringtone happens after my vibrates go through, sometimes up to 4 seconds later. Would a faster SD card help? Or is there an easy way, without rooting, to move my ringtones to the phone? Also, if I switched SD cards, would I be able to basically copy...
Problems with google calendar on my HTC hero. I have a slight problem with my Android phone (1.5).
For some strange reason it doesn't show all my google calendars. I can choose them but they won't be shown in any of my calendar apps. Any thoughts? The web seems to be full of complaints about the exact same thing but other than exporting the calendars, deleting them and making a new one by importing the calendar again there is no solution...
