Detailed review
The Nexus One is great hardware. It feels great in your hand, the screen is the best I have EVER seen and the camera is exceptional. The only area where it lags a bit is touchscreen response - and that might be a software issue.
I am a huge iPhone fan and dare I say that the Nexus One's hardware is superior.
My complaints are with the software. To rival the iPhone the Nexus One needs the HTC Sense UI - without it Android is unpolished. Don't get me wrong, Android has come a long way and with the 2.1 release it is starting to feel quite stable - but if you compare it to the GUI on the iPhone (or even a Palm Pre) you notice that it is a bit rough around the edges.
If you are on T-Mobile (or Wind Mobile in Canada) this phone should be your first choice. Especially if you use GMail or Google Apps.
But, without a better GUI, it will be some time before it overtakes the iPhone.
