I've saved up enough for a galaxy nexus which is what I want because I want an unlocked phone running stock Android 4.0 that gets regular updates. My current phone is a Nexus One and that's what I love about that phone. Then I realised that the version of the Galaxy Nexus that is available online is the 16GB version. I wanted the 32GB version. That's the only way I could stand the Galaxy Nexus not having a micro sd card slot. So I'd be willing to forgo getting the Nexus for a phone in the same...

Almost forgot to put this issue up too. My T-Mobile version N1 won't connect to my Wifi in-house but my AT&T version did...Crazy thing is it connects to other Wifi just not the one in-house and there's nothing wrong with my Wifi because everything else in my apartment connects to the Wifi...Just in case, I have the Linksys E2000...
I'm using a at&t compatible Nexus One running Cyanogen 7 to tether my phones internet connection to Mac Mini PC. It works flawlessly most of the time, unfortunately whenever a call comes through the internet connection speed will either drastically slow down to a crawl, or seemingly not work at all. This all goes away as soon as the phone call ends, and I'll resume averaging 2-3 Mbps. Has anyone experienced similar problems while using a 3G GSM device? Could it be CyanogenMod software? I'm...
Android owners who enjoy Google Voice and Navigation, if you didn't have access to it (say you moved to a country that isn't supported), would you switch to another smartphone platform?
There seems to be new trend among some manufacturers of (Android smartphones) omitting the notification LED. Particularly Samsung (ie. the Galaxy S II and the Nexus S) seems to have done away with them entirely it seems. I had the HTC Nexus One and I loved how the phone had the lighted trackball which could be used for missed call/message indications. Along with the trackball there was a charging LED indicator at the top of the screen which was handy as well.
I'm finally getting a smartphone and was thinking about getting an unlocked Nexus One or Nexus S and then purchasing a 500 Minute Valueâ„¢ Bundle with Data (Unlimited Plus) plan for $50 a month from T-Mobile.
Does this sound like a good plan? I want to get a GSM phone and it seems like buying the phone I want unlocked and getting the plan separately is the cheaper way to go.
Google Voice is starting to really annoy me. Recently, I've been failing to receive calls when people call my Google Voice number, "texts" take forever to send over the Google Voice app despite having a solid data connection (main complaint), and the Google Voice app just sucks UI-wise when compared to other fully featured SMS apps. I've been thinking about going back to my regular number because of these issues several times in the past 6 months but I've been stuck to Google Voice because of...

I was able to Pair the phone with the PCs blutooth but I was not able to establish the internet connection between the two. Please help me in resolving the same :).
I have a Nexus S with a broken screen. I have a Nexus One with a broken screen. The parts to replace the Nexus One screen are much cheaper...actually $100 cheaper. Would it be crazy to buy the parts for the Nexus One and just use it until a new Nexus device gets released? I remember Gingerbread seemed to run just fine on the Nexus One but what would I be missing out on by going backwards? As much as I love the bigger screen of the Nexus S, and the speed increase, I miss the better build quality...
I dropped my phone and it landed (apparently horribly) on my keys that were laying on the ground. The screen is cracking out from one point and the cracks continue to grow outwards. Because Google hasn't introduced a new Nexus phone, I have a dilemma. Do I simply replace the screen or do I buy a new discounted Nexus S (my contract is up). At this point I am leaning towards replacing the screen because I would like to save my contract extension for whenever a new Nexus/Google device comes out....
Do you think, the next iPhone will get an A5 chip, like the one in iPad 2? This is interesting, because Samsung Galaxy S II and HTC Sensation 4G now got dual cores clocked at 1.2Ghz, the next Nexus is rumored to get 1.5Ghz dual core, and NVIDIA Kal-El (quad core) is coming soon. On the other hand, the iPad 2 with the A5 is fairly new and iPhone 4 is still working happily with A4. We already know that Ghz aren't everything so let's keep this on-topic. EDIT: My point is, 1.2 ghz dual cores are now...

I'm on Sprint right now, and my contract ends in August. I'm planning to switch back to Verizon because I got better service and I'm willing to afford the extra cost. The only issue is that I want an Android device but Verizon doesn't seem to have any that don't suck in some way or another. I've had a Google Nexus One since it came out (only really use it on Wi-Fi), and I really love it. I much prefer the vanilla Android experience to any of the customized versions (HTC, Samsung, Motorola, etc),...

I've used the Neflix app on a Nexus One and Nexus S, and on both devices I've had to put the phone volume to max to even have the volume at a quiet level, i can't hear some conversations on it, but as soon as I switch to another app it blows my ear drums out.
Now THIS is frustrating. No matter how many times I try, I simply can't get my bluetooth to turn on. I've tried the power control widget, my power control + widget, and the checkbox in the settings menu. Every time it acts just like it normally does when it's getting ready to turn it on, but then it just fails out with no notification. I've also tried restarting the phone, and taking the battery out for a minute. I still have the problem. I REALLY want to avoid resetting the phone to factory...

I have been using an Android phone for about a year now, and I'm always using an unlocked version on my AT&T account that was used with my iPhone. I've plugged my sim card into about 5 Android phones and it always shows that I have a voicemail, but when i check I don't. Everywhere else I've looked online doesn't seem to help. I figure fellow gadget fiends might have encountered this before.
