The first WiMAX phone in the U.S. is a terrific platform for streaming media and Web browsing, and it gets your laptop online with Sprint's 4G network. Just keep an eye out for an outlet when you're only using 4G. quote

That said, this is truly one of the best smartphones ever made, and even spotty 4G -- a reality of a young technology that's going to take years to properly build out -- probably won't do much to hamper your enjoyment of this thing.

The speedy HTC EVO 4G packs in some powerful specs and a variety of multimedia features into a stylish, minimalist design, but not everybody will get to enjoy one of its best features--4G connectivity.

The HTC Evo 4G is easily Sprint's best smartphone and one of today's top Android devices. It also shows the promise of 4G, which will grow as Sprint's WiMax network expands, but until there's broader 4G coverage, it's hard to agree with the mandatory premium data add-on fee.

It doesn’t matter how awesome it is to browse the Internet on a 4.3-inch screen or do front-facing video calls if the phone’s battery can’t make it through the day.

If you're in a strong WiMAX coverage area, the HTC Evo 4G is a no-brainer. ... If coverage is more spotty, as it is in my area, the Evo 4G is still a great choice, ... but that monthly bill is going to be a bitter pill you'll have to swallow to enjoy the benefits this phone offers.

The Sprint HTC Evo 4G is the kind of Android phone that will probably be the talk of the town even after the next iPhone launches. That should say a lot about Evo’s badass-ness.

This is a great Android phone. I love the display size and I'm glad I did not go smaller. The battery life can be disappointing when using the display a lot (like to watch streaming video). Just be ready to charge at work and in the car if you use it a lot.

Coming from a Palm Pre the HTC EVO 4G is leaps and bounds ahead in easy of use, battery life (and that isn't saying much!) and app quality. The large screen makes viewing media and reading webpages much easier plus typing on the spacious keyboard makes for less cramped hands. HTC Sense adds some...
