What's the best extended battery for the Droid Incredible?
I have an original Droid Incredible that's having battery problems (not just poor battery life, the battery needs to be replaced). Instead of just replacing the battery I was going to buy an extended battery- the kind that comes with a custom back. I'm interested in performance and aesthetics- I'd prefer my phone not be absolutely hideous. Keyboard response too slow?
Has anyone experienced a slow responding (soft) keyboard when typing. It's like it has to catch up my speed, and it it misspell words because it didn't register that I pressed them. Any solutions? I've tried alternate keyboards already including Swiftkey X.

Can someone explain what rooting does in plain English?
I understand that, while it may void warranty, it gives unlimited access to my Android phone, but what does that even really mean? I'm a Droid Incredible user for the time being, and haven't had the urge to root my phone, despite being urged to by my other Android-using friends. Am I missing something? What does rooting your phone allow you to do? Is it worth the risk of bricking your phone?

How can I stop an endless bootup screen?
I had shut off my Droid Incredible, and when turning it back on, I found it was stuck in an odd repeating bootup screen. It was the same bootup animation (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpPXVng_gKg), but it would restart itself at "HTC: Quietly Brilliant" and go through the animation. Taking the battery out did nothing, and, in the end, I had to do a hard reset. The phone was never rooted, and no pirated software was put on there, so I'm clueless as to why it's happened. Has anyone else seen the Droid Incredible reboot while in the middle of a bluetooth call?
I just recently got the BlueAnt S4 and have used it as a speaker phone for my Droid Incredible for around a month and have had 3 or 4 times when the phone just reboot in mid call? Anyone know a fix for this or what is causing this? Also using Google Voice.
I'm switching to Verizon, and I want a DROID. I don't know which to pick: The Incredible or the X.
I prefer larger screens, but the myriad problems reported about the X make me pause. Any owners of either device want to help me out here? Thanks!

What are your feelings between this and the Incredible? I really like the big screen on the X, but I'm on my 3rd handset already.
First one had a bogus screen, second one had a bogus headphone jack, and all three routinely rebooted and ruin half of my photos/videos. Seriously considering swapping it out for an Incredible. I don't think I trust Motorola anymore to make decent hardware.

Has anyone else had issues with the external speaker?
I've blown two so far, and I don't really use the speaker too much except for ringers and notifications. I'm glad HTC and Verizon keep replacing the phone for me, but it does get old having to keep on getting it replaced.

I just got offered by VZW to pick up one of these bad Larrys for $99. Now, for the longest time I've been waiting for an Inc.
+ a slide-out KB and with the Merge I thought I was finally going to get it. Conundrum now is - is the kb worth $100 to me? I'm not sure. My question is - at this point with all the different options available and on the horizon - does the Incredible hold up and will it continue to hold up over the next year to 2 years? I've had my incredible since may, and recently one of the led flashes stopped turning on for the flashlight or camera flash.
I called verizon and had a replacement one sent out, but the replacement unit had a red tinged screen. I had another one sent with the same issue. Has anyone had this problem?
