Detailed review
Bought this phone the day it came out, despite it having 1.5 OS (Cupcake) on it, it's still a solid phone for someone who is looking to get out of a clamshell design.
It can be pretty snappy, though at times it can be fairly laggy and seem to be unresponsive. That said, the Sense UI is a deal make IMHO, it takes the visual limitations of the standard interface and gives it a nice breath of fresh air and all the integrated systems, the Dialer, Contacts, Mail, Messages and Photos all flow together visually.
Facebook integration is nice if you want to keep up to date on your friends pics and birthdays, but for status updates and such, it's very lacking to me. Supposedly the FriendStream or FriendFeed widget is going to make this better in the 2.1 Eclair update coming sometime soon (I hope). Though for Facebook usage on the go, there's no really nice option, the Facebook App lacks a solid notifications system and other needed features, other Facebook apps are basically just Mobile links to a browser. So far some of the better Facebook integrations has been from the recent SlideScreen update. Lacks notifications but the stream is pretty nice, plus it has decent Twitter integration...though posting from both requires a jump to the mobile sites.
I'm patiently waiting for the 2.1 upgrade coming who knows when, hoping next month. Other than that I've had minimal issues with the Hardware and Software. The 3rd Party Apps seem to get better as time goes on and more developers decide to make Android Apps. Just wish they could put some more time into the visual design of some of them. If I wanted to look at graphics from the mid-90's I'd buy a relic PC with 3.1 Windows.
