I bought a droid Eris from a friend but the bottom left part of the screen won't work, can this be fixed?
The phone looks great it's just the bottom left corner, so any numbers or apps that are in that corner won't work.

Ever since the 2.
1 update for my Droid Eris, I haven't been able to program speed dial at all; also, the voice dial does not work in the least, no matter how clearly I speak. Is there any way to fix this?

I was trying to delete the music off my phone because it said I didnt have the space.
Everytime I went to the music section and deleted it it would force close and not delete it. Then I went into the application place and hit clear all in the media section. Well now my pictures and all my music are not on the phone, but it still says I have the same amount of space. So then I went and hit unmount SD card and then format and it said it would delete everything but still the same amount of space is available. It says I have 7.4GB on the SD card and internal phone storage is 99.97mb...

[HTC Eris] - so who has rooted to 2.1? What was the process like and have you had any issues with it?
I'm getting sick of waiting for the official release and kind of want to get 2.1 because it's supposedly much quicker.

I have an old silver voyager and my contract is over on april 25th. I am going to upgrade to a palm pre plus, droid eris or blackberry storm 2.
I am not a buisness user. I just use it for social network, texting, internet and apps. you can get the buy one get one free promotion right now for the pre plus. I hate the droid because of the lip and i dont care about the nexus one. Can someone tell me which one to pick and why. keep in mind the build quality, software/OS and app store. Dont give any suggestions for other phones because im only picking from these.

voice dialing

problems with eris after turning off then on
so i turned my eris off to ignore any incoming messages. when i turned it back on it would say "sorry blah blah has stopped unexpecetedly' or 'was force closed", and to top it i have no signal and it just says searching for signal. wtf is goin on? i turned it off left is off for like 20 minutes still have the same prob. took the battery out let it sit for like half hour, still the same prob. can any1 offer any help?

Headphones issue
okay so I have my headphones plugged in while im at work so i can listen to my music and such. I've noticed that even though the headphones are plugged in when i get an email the sound still comes from the phone speaker, anyone else encountering this?

Email problems
Not getting all my emails from server, not even when I manually hit refresh. Register.com is my email host and had no problems with my storm . Verizon told me to reboot the phone every couple of days but that didn't work, anyone else having the same problem/

I cant drag any apps to trash can,
I cant drag any apps to trash can, nor can I move them around on my home page... is there a lock button I may have hit.? I was able to do it before. Cant find anything in the manual.

Eris moving from 1.5 to 2.0/1 definite?
First, is the Eris definitely getting an update? I know every cell phone blog has been saying that it is, but do you think it will definitely be happening? Second, is there any possibility the bump to 2.0/1 might ruin the phones overall performance since it has lesser specs than the Droid/Nexus One?

OTA Update Available 1-11-10
I'm guessing not everyone will get it today, but this morning I received an OTA update on my Eris. Went smooth except while loading after the reboot, the HTC screen kinda hung up for a good 2+ minutes. It came up eventually, was just weird. How do i delete a download?
i "tapped" the wrong thing on my HTC Eris and it got downloaded to my phone. how do i remove it?
