Detailed review
Ted DROID DNA... What can I say? this is by far the greatest device I have ever owned! It is very fast and responsive, I have yet to find an app that can make the DNA lag. The screen resolution is mind bending... When watching a video, it looks as though I have captured the people and have them in the palm of my hand. The first response others have when I show them is, "WOW LOOK AT HOW CLEAR THAT IS!!" The battery, despite what you may read on other sites about an "inadequate battery" this beast lasts all day! I am an above average user and I can get 14 + hours on average. the worst that I have gat so far was in a very weak 3G area and that was just over 9 hours before it asked for a plug. My previous device was barely able to go 8 hours on a perfect day, with an extended battery! The DROID DNA is More than capable.
A note on the design... It's GORGOUS!! This is the most solid HTC device I have held. there are no gaps or creaking buttons that I have experienced in the past with other devices. The enormous display is protected by Gorilla Glass 2 and has a very smooth coating on it that does a great job at resisting greasy fingerprints. It is also rounded along the edges witch, along with the super thin profile, helps the DROID DNA almost disappear when you put it into your pocket. This is also a very light device. Not that feathery made of plastic lightness, but that precision built evenly weighted lightness. Needless to say the DROID DNA had some extra attention paid to its design.
Oh I cant forget about the sound!! The Beatsaudio on this one is really showing off its benefits. when using the back speaker with Beats on I can literally feel the air rushing out of the micro-drilled speaker grill. it as a little odd to feel that at first but it is truly a WOW experience. The headphone port is no slouch either. I was not too impressed with the sound of my Beats earbuds, that came with another HTC device I had, but after plugging them into the DROID DNA it was like hearing music for the first time! No joke, I can hear parts of songs that I didn't know existed. I am beyond impressed with this device.
Ok just so I don't start sounding like a paid employee I will let you know what I don't like about it. There is no SD card slot!! I think that is the only problem with this design. That being said, I am starting to realize that I don't miss the extra storage. I was a little worried about that but its not a problem. and with a $0.99 cable I can plug in a flash drive to back up or transfer files if need be. LOL I found that I can hook a mouse and keyboard to it that way too!!
OK OK I will let you go now to go and find a DNA to mess with. I really recommend that you go and at least look at one. You will be amazed.
