International Roaming on 3G/4G GSM
Does the DNA roam on European GSM and LTE networks as the Verizon iPhone 5 does? Is it unlocked for 3rd party GSM/LTE carriers' micro SIM cards?

I need some advice, as of 2 days ago I'm eligible to upgrade. I'm a Verizon user and the question is, Note 2 or Droid DNA. Thoughts?
I've done the research and I know the +/- of both and read a bunch of reviews which seem to be contradictory. I'm coming from a HTC Thunderbolt so HTC and Verizon have already disappointed me numerous times in relation to supporting and keeping their hardware updated. So feel free to sway me one way or the other both phones will be better than what I have.
