Detailed review
First got my phone when tmo opened up the pre-orders to exsisting tmo customers, was very excited to recieve the phone because of hte full keyboard, the touch screen, mobile web, and gmail sync. since ive had it ive loved the phone, to open up a free app store was a huge move for them also.

I very rarely find myself asking for "more" out of this phone because it curtails exactly to what i wanted out of my first smart phone. I didnt want a phone to throw my companies email on so i would be bothered with it every 10 m, i didnt want my business contacts on it either. I wanted a phone, that i could use for gps directions when im on the road, a phone that takes descent enough pics, and able to upload them to email, my contacts on the fly. also a phone that has a full keyboard, because lets face it.. touch screen keyboards suck, and always will.

Considering the fact that this was their FIRST phone, I would have to say that nailed it. Is it an Iphone killer?? no.. was it aimed to be? i really dont think it was. The HTC DREAM was just getting them into the game, they wanted to see if they could make it, and have an impression. If they were be sucessfull, like with any company and new products they would move forward, and if not they would scale back and try a different approach. With the popularity and success of HTC DREAM they can officaly move forward and become more of a fighting force for the more popular smart phones out there.

I can say with out a doubt that i am very glad that i adopted eairly to the G1, and i am very excited to see what else they have in store for us, the OS updates have been exactly what ive wanted, a easy seemless update with no major bugs / glitches. It looks like a bright future for the android team, and i look forward to see whatelse they have instore for the community!
