Believe us when we say that the HTC Desire HD is going to be the perfect handset for a lot of people (providing the price stays at a reasonable level) and we'd certainly recommend it as the phone to get if you want the very latest in cool smartphone technology that actually works. quote

So what to make of the Desire HD? It's undeniably hampered by some design flaws and poor battery life, but the sheer volume of good things it brings to the table can't be ignored.

Overall, the HTC Desire HD is a phone at the very pinnacle of the smartphone market, the best Android phone currently on the market and a strong competitor to the Apple iPhone 4.

If you’ve the pocket or purse for it, there’s plenty to like here. One of the best browsing experiences on a mobile device, solid hardware and flexible online support –with the promise of more in the pipeline –makes the HTC Desire HD a highly recommended smartphone.

HTC have in the past 5 years gone from a relatively unheard of ghost manufacturer into a designer and maker of quality phones, the Nexus One is an example of just such a phone which has become hugely popular amongst Android developers. In 2010 HTC launched the orignal Desire which was greeted...

A beautiful looking and working ohone. I used to have a HTC Desire (GSM) and this is a great successor to it. I love the screen size and the clarity and brightness of it. Love it!!

Great phone for active users that want the "bigger screen" experience of their smartphones. Does not require a case, but an screen-protector is of course preferred. HTC keeps the updates coming at an satisfactory pace. An definitive upgrade from the original HTC Desire.

The HTC Desire HD looks fantastic. The display is crisp and vivid. There are problems though: The volume rocker has virtually no distance to travel which means that it can be tricky to change the volume. The SIM and Micro SD slots' cover is made of plastic, which in contrast to the aluminium...

Upsides: screen estate, ROM support, plenty of RAM, super fast. Downsides: battery life (I have 2 spares, just in case as the battery gets drained after 3h of listening to music, walking around with camera snapping photos that are geotagged on spot), black on LCD is never black, power button is...
