How to clean mobile phone motherboard from rust?
My HTC Desire suffered from moisture damage. It does work -- mostly. I wonder if there is anything I can do for it. It should be already dry inside, I opened it and let it air.
I thought cleaning rust somewhat would perhaps help it last longer. What do you think?

Restore Original ROM?
So I've been playing with my HTC Desire for some time now and 'tried' to load various ROMs but don't really have it working properly. So, as this is only my 'backup' handset - I want to restore the Desire and start from scratch... Any ideas how I can do this? I can't seem to find an option ANYWHERE! Thanks everyone!

How can I solve the internal storage space problem?
There is 4 gigas of storage on the SD card but only 512 on the phone and most of it is used by the OS so right from the start, you start with only 100 megas of storage for your apps. Even if you can move part of your apps on the SD card, this is still not enough since some apps can's be moved and all of them take a little bit of space. Is there any way to get more space out this phone (which outside of that is really great!) Does HTC sense take that much space?

How to control volume/player and phone via headset?
I have Shure SE425 with a great cable - basically it's made for the iPhone to control everything, iPod, the phone-app, voice control. Any idea on how to make it work on my Desire with Android Gingerbread, 2.3.4/Oxygen 2.1.3?

I have an iPhone 3GS and have grown sick of it. I am in the UK and want an Android device.
I was literally hovering over the 'confirm purchase' button for a HTC Desire. I think the Dell Streak is slightly too big and there's no Evo 4G over here and I think I want Sense UI. Do you guys think I should wait for a month or two or buy now? I know Android development is moving at breakneck speed right now and don't wanna regret a Desire in a few months if the Evo comes to the UK or something even better... also is the AMOLED screen as bad as people say in sunlight?

carrier I want. Is it still this way? If not, is it possible to sim-unlock the phone without going to the carrier? Because I will get the Desire in Switzerland and will use in Brazil when I get home. And just to clarify I plan to get from a website in Switzerland and not from any carrier. thanks

I was considering on getting the Desire since I'm going to europe next month.
But then the Nexus One have so much more support from the dev community that I'm kinda stuck on which device to get. I know they have almost the same specs and if the Nexus One weren't more expensive (at least in europe) than the Desire I would get it. Anyone can give me a light? Thanks!

I want an HTC Desire, for the screen real-estate mostly, but I'm concerned about battery life.
I'm using iPhone 3GS and it only lasts me 6 hours max (I use a lot of online stuff) but the old 3G was too slow. So, my question is, do you think I'd be disappointed with the Desire's battery life? I have 2 other choices in mind: HTC Legend (small screen, but new android and new chip) or Moto Droid (large screen but old chip, also android 2.1 though.) These two should consume less power but might be a little slow, esp for the Droid. Any comments appreciated!

Does anyone know how to get HTC Desire to support Hebrew letters in messages and web pages?
Also, I posted this question earlier but I try again here. I am terrified of scratching the screen and have used Invisible Shield by Zagg on other non-touch devices and I like it a lot, but I am worried it will decrease the touch screens responsiveness. How to you guys protect your touch screen? Any advice?
