Overall, I think the HTC Surround is a great phone, especially for someone who is looking for the best possible music and video experience on their mobile device. Of course, the extra’s that HTC have included are a nice touch as well.

I don't use this phone as a cellphone, but rather as a platform to test my WP7 apps. I received it fore free during the Imagine Cup 2011 US competition, so I have no vested interest in the device itself. The speakers are not very important to me, and I would rather have seen a slide out keyboard...
