Is it still worth it to get the Arrive?
details
I'm hoping to move to a new carrier within the next few months, and I'm really considering Sprint. AT&T it automatically out for me, as 1. I don't trust AT&T coverage AT ALL. 2. AT&T generally isn't great in my area. Verizon is good, but some of their plans are a bit too expensive for my tastes. So I looked to Sprint. I want Windows Phone, and the only here is the Arrive. The Arrive isn't by definition old, it launches earlier this year, and has the usual specs for a Windows Phone... Read more →

Getting a windows phone (the arrive on sprint) this week. Looking for app suggestions and general initial setup tips.
details
So this will be my first time owning a WP7 device, any tips or tricks would be much appreciated! Also any app suggestions you have would be great too. I know I'll be needing a google reader client (assuming there are a few), and a podcast manager. And twitter.. are there any great 3rd party clients? I know mango will come with some twitter integration, but will it also have a full client built in as well? I wouldn't want to purchase an app only to get the update and have it added to the OS...

So, I purchased my HTC Arrive on the 20th when it came out, and I've never had a phone with a slide-out keyboard before.
details
At first, I was very impressed by how solid the construction of the phone seemed. The keyboard would snap in place when closed, and it was very firm to open, as well, being very hard to do with one hand. Lately, however, it's seemed that the slide mechanism has become significantly looser. Where on the 20th, it took 2 hands to open or shut, I can now do it with 1. It's difficult to describe accurately, but it just seems like it's about 15% easier to open than when i bought it only... Read more →

I would like to get the HTC 7 Pro from sprint but I'm an existing customer and I have a year a half left on my touch pro 2 (which I can't stand) anyone…
details
have any angle I can use with customer services to not pay full price? I think it would be cheaper to cancel my current contract and pay the termination fee and it pick on up for $50 at amazon. Sprint wants $450 . my max cancellation fee is $180 + 50 to get the phone from amazon for a new contract is $230 saving me $220 bucks. Sprint used to have a nice Sprint Premier program but they are changing the rules so my 1 year upgrade is now a 2 year upgrade as of 4/1/11 and the only benefit I still... Read more →

Palm Pre now, or wait for HTC 7 Pro?
details
OK, I acknowledge that this might be a weird situation, but here's the deal: I currently own the (rerrible, terrible) Samsung Instinct, and am up for a 2-year renewal at Sprint. I've had the opportunity to spend a few days with the WP7 platform, and like it a lot, but I'm not 100% sold on it. I have also tried Android, and it's not for me. So, as far as smartphones go, that pretty much means I get the Pre now, or I wait 2-5 months until the HTC 7 Pro is released. Is the Pre a... Read more →
