I had problems with the screen where one vertical line would randomly have constant false touches happening all over that line.
details
i knew the problem was hardware related as squeezing the screen border right below the line would cause the spasm to stop. i ended up finding a solution that turned a problem with an otherwise costly solution into a problem that required nothing more than half an inch of tape so if anyone else has this problem and needs instructions on how to fix it i am more than willing to explain. you just need to be comfortable with dismantling the screen. and no worries the tape doesnt show.

Touch-screen acting up
details
For any who experience sporadic false-touches, where the computer just kind of taps the screen all by itself, make sure you clean off the screen surface regularly, especially if you use your finger on it. This also goes for cases where the finger-touch functionality seems to give out on you. If it can't detect your finger properly, it'll get confused with all the other grease on there :) Wash those hands after eating grilled cheese and pizza.
