The HP TouchPad is less polished than the iPad, with a smaller range of impressive third-party apps. Yes, it's got features that the iPad lacks, but so do the Android tablets, and they have a bigger app selection, too. quote

If the Pre 3 were out today and if the TouchPad were $100 less we could maybe see giving it a go, if only to root for the underdog. But, as it is, you have to put your heart and two decades worth of Palm obsession ahead of any buying rationale.

The TouchPad would have made a great competitor for the original iPad, but its design, features, and speed put it behind today's crop of tablet heavyweights.

You're stepping on my dreams, HP. The TouchPad is so close, closer than anything else, to being good. But it's also very, very far from it.

My complaints are the lack of a HDMI output, and the screen seems to scratch somewhat easily. The sound is very loud, and the OS is very easy to use.

The Touchpad has an amazing OS that needs just a few bug fixes. Multitasking is quantum leaps above it's rivals. I do prefer my iPad im all ways except multitasking.

The HP TouchPad is a fantastic table that unfortunately wasn't given enough time or attention to really be all that it could have been. Odds are that if you are picking one up now it is at the super discount price and mostly only will be used to browse the web and perhaps read email and whatnot....

The best touch-based operating system bar none. Needs a bit of polish and a lot of apps to beat iOS, but the usability of OS itself is far superior to iOS and Android.

I am a Fire sale owner. Although this doesn't replace your laptop or even your desktop computer. It serves a more convient purpose within your arsenal of gadgets. It is quick to get to the internet, music, pictures and web radio just to name a few. I wouldn't recommend that you pay your bills...
