If the Pre 3 were out today and if the TouchPad were $100 less we could maybe see giving it a go, if only to root for the underdog. But, as it is, you have to put your heart and two decades worth of Palm obsession ahead of any buying rationale.

The HP TouchPad is less polished than the iPad, with a smaller range of impressive third-party apps. Yes, it's got features that the iPad lacks, but so do the Android tablets, and they have a bigger app selection, too. quote

The TouchPad would have made a great competitor for the original iPad, but its design, features, and speed put it behind today's crop of tablet heavyweights.
Read the full review →You're stepping on my dreams, HP. The TouchPad is so close, closer than anything else, to being good. But it's also very, very far from it.

Read the full review →I joined the HP TouchPad bandwagon after the firesale began and, as a basic tablet for web browsing, it's pretty good. If this tablet was priced at $200 I probably would've still gotten it. It's a shame that HP killed the TouchPad so quickly despite WebOS running so beautifully on it. Synergy...
Read the full review →I picked up my Touchpad after the "Great Touchpad Firesale of August 2011" and am surprisingly enjoying it. While I do think I will keep my iPad 2, this has become a great device for leaving in my living room/house to use when I need to look something up, find a recipe, or just do some general...
Read the full review →I really didn't know what I was going to do with the TouchPad but since I've gotten it I've used it as my primary means to get online when I travel for work, to watch videos and even read a few books. I have an Android phone so I admit that I am bummed I don't have access to some of the apps I'm...
Read the full review →I've got a complex life and lots of work to do. This does the trick like nothing else. If you've used a WebOS device, I don't have to explain this. If you haven't then you just need to watch some of the better video of it in action. Better yet, come to a meeting with me and watch me compose...
Read the full review →The HP Touchpad is a tragic device. It is the first time webOS can truly flex its muscle, in terms of processing power and display size, it was also discontinued 6 weeks after launch and will supposedly be the last of it's kind to come out from HP. Unfortunately the app eco system is well...
Read the full review →I like the Touchpad. I used a palm pre for over 2 years, so I'm pretty comfortable with webOS. I basically use it for web browsing and twitter. For $150 that's fine with me. For $500, not so much. Here are my issues. First, now that I have an iPhone I see what real good touchscreen can do....
Read the full review →As the resident Apple fanboy, I felt the need to ensure that my passion was defensible and not born out of ignorance (as so many anti-Apple opinions are), so I grabbed a Touchpad from a co-worker for $170. Add that to a few weeks working with Android, Windows Phone7, and of course years with iOS...
Read the full review →Physically the device feels fat. The glossy plastic smudges and is a finger print magnet on both the front and the back of the device. I don’t find it very comfortable to hold to read or use I find myself sitting it down on a table or desk and using it that way. I didn’t find it comfortable to...

Read the full review →This tablet is only worth the money when Android is on it. Even an alpha release of Android 4.0 is better than WebOS.
