HP's OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus is a multi-function inkjet printer on steroids. It includes all of the features you'd expect from an MFP — printing, networking, scanning, copying, faxing — and ups the ante with a legal-size scanning bed, full duplex printing, fast print speeds, and high-capacity paper trays that can hold up to 500 pages. Print quality is very good for an inkjet, and ink costs are also reasonable compared to similar models. Photo quality is good, though not as good as you'd get from a dedicated photo printer. The 8600 is a very good home-office printer, though, thanks to that legal-size scanner and capacious paper trays, you may need to get a bigger desk to accommodate it.
