Conclusion: We like it

Ultrabooks aren't exactly known for standout keyboards, but the HP Folio 13 has one of the best you'll find on a laptop this small and light — and it's backlit too. The Folio 13 also includes an Ethernet port, HDMI output and an SD card slot. The downsides? It's not the lightest or speediest ultrabook around, and the screen isn't about to light up any rooms. But starting at $900, it's a great deal, especially if you're picky about your typing surface.

It boots quickly, includes a robust selection of ports...and offers a refreshingly comfortable typing experience. The biggest things we'd change are the stiff trackpad and the dim, glossy display, which frankly, we expected to find in a machine this inexpensive anyway.

What it is, is one of the most immaculate designs we've seen, with clever attention to small details as well as thoughtful attention paid to big issues like connectivity and typing comfort. We could still wish for a brighter screen, but the Folio 13 deserves to become our new Editors' Choice.

It offers excellent performance and battery life, a fetchingly minimalist design, and a typing experience that thinner units can't match.

Are there sexier ultrabooks, and even laptops, than the HP Folio 13? Certainly. I'd be hard-pressed, however, to find one as practical, affordable, and solidly performing as the Folio 13.

I won the Hunger Games Special Edition Folio 13 for smoking Windows Phone at the Microsoft store. I had to sell it a few days afterward because I really had no use for it, but I was still able to use it for some time. First, this is the very first HP laptop that I actually like. Typically, I...

Also i have to use...

This is a great Ultrabook and I've tried nearly all of the ones in market today. What makes it stand out from the crowd is the great battery life, the USB3 and HDMI-ports, the back lit keyboard and the professional design.
