So I have one of the earlier versions of the MacBook Pro:
2.13 gig intel core duo
160 GB HD
3 GB RAM - I installed 2 more gigs
I want to upgrade my hard drive, namely for more space and more speed. However, I have been researching some of the different drives and I am having trouble deciding what the best avenue is:
SATA - Hitachi, Samsung, Toshiba? I have seen mixed reviews for Seagate and WD for Macs.

SSD - Crucial, Samsung, OWC, Intel? - I have seen good reviews for the first 3.

The TV would come on for 10 seconds and turn off for 10 seconds and continue to cycle like that. I had a TV repairman come out and fix it, but save yourself a bunch of money and do it yourself. Just need to removed the screws and remove the back of the TV, then move the I/O and CableCard boards out of the way and the digital main is right there, it's as easy as removing some screws and plugging in some cables.

I thought I would post a tiny review of this new USB 500gb drive. Its powered via USB, and works great. Fits in a small Case Logic case which makes it even better. If you were looking for a portable drive, this is a great one.

I thought I was the only one who still had one of these TVs...When I bought this about 7-8 years ago, everyone thought I was crazy for buying a 1080i widescreen tv. Nobody even knew what 1080i meant!!! LOL The picture is a bit fuzzy these days, but I defintely got my money's worth!

LifeStudio 2gb drive. The drive doesn't show when I use the hub, but comes right up on my Macbook using direct USB. Any suggestions on a good USB hub?

anyone else have this issue...or know what it may be?

I have a computer hooked up to this TV with a DVI to HDMI adapter. For whatever reason, I can't get it to do the stated native resolution of 1280x1080. I get a messed up picture (like I'm using the wrong refresh rate). It seems happy at 1280x720. I'd like to use the native resolution. Is that possible?
