What is the best device to stream online television content to a TV?
details
We have a television, and a high speed internet connection, but because of some conflicts with a cable provider we have decided to forgo cable or satellite television. So now we're looking into what the best way to get television content is. We have a very basic HDTV, nothing special. I'm not really a fan of smart TVs because they lack longevity, so I'd like to stick with a device that can stream television content to our TV. What device would be best for that? We have a Netflix account, so it... Read more →

What are all the TV Everywhere apps? Help me build a comprehensive list!
details
I couldn't find a list of which networks have TV Everywhere-compatible apps, so I thought we could try and build a list here on gdgt. These are apps -- mainly for Android and iOS so far -- that let you access live and archive programming if you have a cable subscription.

The ones I can think of off the top of my head are:
  • HBO Go
  • CNN
  • ESPN
  • TBS
  • TNT
Post your additions below and I'll add them to the list here. Thanks!

What is the best media player on the market right now?
details
I currently have a HTPC running XBMC in my living room and have been wanting similar set up in my bedroom without the need for a full fledged pc. I saw that Plex now works on GoogleTV, as well as Roku, with a true market app but I know the GoogleTV reviews have been less than stellar.
The Boxee Box has always intrigued me but when I used the desktop software I didn't find the interface to be too great plus the apps like Netflix were pretty lackluster. Have they improved since the device &... Read more →

Is there any hardware that streams Netflix better than Xbox 360?
details
If I were to want to let my gold account expire, I couldn't stream Netflix on the TV anymore. The Netflix experience is very good on 360. Are there any other hardware devices, such as the Roku HD or similar, that are comparable or better for streaming (and searching Netflix? I guess I could use WMC (Win 7 version) also. I've heard rather bad things about Netflix built in to hardware (blu-ray players mostly), though that maybe wifi issues and not the hardware necessarily.

All my music is uploaded to Google Music... Now what? It won't play on my iOS devices or my Google TV box"
details
So, after a couple of weeks of uploading my 7,000 songs to google music, all I can play my library on, is through a browser on my laptop, and my music is already on my laptop to begin with! Anybody else have any luck playing music from Google Music Beta through their iPhone, iPad or Google TV box? (Logitech Revue or Sony NSZ GT1 Bluray player with Google TV) Or is an Android phone My only option.. I love my iPhone and iPad, and I like downloading apps and music and have it arrive on all devices...

Is it only a matter of time before Sony PS3 uses Chrome OS or Google TV as a UI instead of XMB?
details
With so many gadgets to navigate. I think it would make a lot of sense for Sony to just adopt Google TV on the PS3. PSN should become an app for all platforms (apple WP7 etc). Sony Ericsson phones with the PSN app can have exclusive features. No?
