LTE upgrade for the CR-48?
Since the Globi 3G Verizon card is just a PCI card on the laptop, in theory we could replace the card with a 4G card. We may have some reception issues, but has anyone tried this?

starcraft on the cr48?
For some reason starcraft runs really slow on the cr48. I know it's a limited system, but starcraft is an old game that should be able to run reasonably well on this system. Any one know of how to configure wine correctly to run starcraft better?

I can't get webgl to work on all websites. It works in google body browser, but not in some demos. Help?!

where is the offline media player?
I noticed that some of the earlier versions of chrome os had an offline media player you could enable in the about:flags menu. I'm running the latest dev version and can't see it. Does anybody know how to enable the offline media player? is it even available?

Anyone having issues with automatic screen brightness adjustment on the Google Cr-48?
I know the Cr-48 has an ambient light sensor built-in so it can dim or brighten the screen as necessary, but it seems overly sensitive. Even when reaching up to the keyboard and typing, the sensor will sometimes adjust the screen level dramatically. Has anyone found a solution, or perhaps a low-level setting to turn off auto brightness?

smoother videos on hulu on Cr-48
any one know how to tweak crhome os to play flash videos more smoothly? Youtube videos are ok, but hulu videos are really choppy does any one have any suggestions?

Unity breaking on Ubuntu installed on a Cr-48
Yesterday I installed 11.04 on my cr48. Playing around with the compiz settings I managed to break unity. I can't get a gui, and my user account has lost root privileges. Is there anyway to fix this? I just want to dual boot chrome OS and ubuntu. If I have to start from scratch, that's fine as long as I can install ubuntu again.

Does CR-48 play 720 or 1080P videos?
I tried playing 1080P trailers on YouTube, this thing froze up. What if I install ubuntu? Will it play HD?

Anyone else get the invite to Gilt Group's Samsung Chromebook pre-sale? If so, are you going to buy one?
Just got the invite, which went out to people who got a Cr-48 to test. Doesn't seem like much of a deal, just the chance to buy a regular-priced one a bit early, so I'm curious to see if anyone is going to buy one.

Has anyone updated their Google Cr-48 to Chrome OS 12 beta? Notice any significant improvements?
According to Techcrunch, Google just pushed out a new release of Chrome OS that should bring several improvements. Some of these improvements include: - Update UI - New flash player - Improved trackpad I know flash and the trackpad were the biggest pain points I would read about. Has anyone else's shift key flash on and off on the Google Cr-48?
Last night I was browsing the web on the Cr-48 and I noticed that the shift key flashed on and off. It was very weird and I just want to know if anyone else got it and if somebody knows what causes it.

Is anyone else bothered by the fact that Google is fragmenting its own OSs?
I honestly don't see the point of Chrome OS when you can use Honeycomb on a tablet or one that turns into a netbook like the Asus Transformer. I think it would be much smarter to put Chrome as the default web browser in Android and for Google to just push Android in the netbook/tablet market. What do you guys think? I think Google's cannibalization it's own OSs by having Chrome OS and Android compete with each other in the OS space...
