Is this an ideal 7" android tablet?
details
I'm thinking about getting my mom a basic tablet that won't break the bank. She'll be using it only for basic websurfing, facebook (yes, my mom is an avid facebook user - surprisingly more active on the site than me O_O), watching videos and Skype.

With those uses in mind, does the A100 fit the bill? Or are there any other tablets you might suggest in its stead?

Why is it so hard to find a decent slider?
details
I can't type on touchscreens to save my life. I'm willing to pay more for a slider with decent hardware, but they all seem to have the guts of 5 year old phones.
I have a Motorola Flipside with 2.2 and I'm ready to throw it out the window. I can't even update any apps any more because it gives me constant out of space errors with its tiny 256 MB RAM x 512 MB, fixed focus, general slowness, and occasional unresponsiveness.
I looked at the specs for the LG Optimus Slider, but it's specs don't seem... Read more →

Is Ice Cream Sandwich really going to make Android tablets better?
details
When it comes to the tablet version of ICS, what are the pending benefits? It just seems like there's some new fonts and some gestures, but other than that it's pretty much like Honeycomb. Are they promising performance increases? Better touch responsiveness?

What's the big deal?

I'm about to purchase an Android Tablet...should I wait until after CES? Will prices begin to drop significantly on Honeycomb (ICS upgradeable) tablets?
details
I've got some Christmas cash that I've saved in order to purchase a 10.1" Android tablet. I've had my eye on the Asus Transformer (TF101), the Motorola Xoom Family Edition, and perhaps the Sony tablet. Leaning heavily toward the Transformer due to it's expandability and Asus's promise of upgrading to ICS. However, I'm wondering if prices might be on the verge of coming down and perhaps I could be rewarded by having some patience. I'm only looking in the sub-$400+/- arena with a limited budget...

has any one had their Android tablet lose the cached logins? and settings?
details
I have an Acer Iconia A500. Today my browser (default browser) lost all the book marks and reset them to default. Directv app lost login as did netflix app. I had also set wifi to stay on when plugged in, it also got changed. I haven't gone to every setting that I had changed yet, so don't know what else was reset. Btw, battery has not died. It was at 32% when I turned it on.
