Which 4g phone should I buy?
I have AT&T with a grandfathered unlimited data plan but prefer Verizon's performance. I am using an iphone 3gs. Itunes frakked my music collection and I hate it. I need Exchange support, though we do have a BES in house. Security is the most important. Had a BB curve a couple of years ago it was SOOOooo Slow and I had to pull the battery so often, I installed the battery puller app.

Best user experience on Windows Phone 7?
I've been living in South Korea for six months and there were no Windows phones on sale here at that time, so I ended up going with a cheaper phone in the Galaxy line (no carrier subsidies here). The experience has been horrible. There have been random resets and I loathe the memory management for onboard/SD card apps. The carrier has me stuck at 2.2, so I'm not even able to update some of Google's own apps because of fragmentation. As there is no unified experience, which was a favorite thing...

How do I find out if my Android phone has the Carrier IQ software installed?
I was reading up on people's thoughts on the Carrier IQ software (http://gdgt.com/question/android-users-are-you-wo... and I was mildly concerned. Before I started freaking out, I wanted to know how can I find out if this is actually on my device (Droid X)?

Android users: Are you worried about the Carrier IQ data logging issue?
Tons of news floating around this morning about Carrier IQ's software that's installed on nearly all mobile phones logs and reports nearly every action a user does; texts, calls, webpages, passwords, etc.
Do you use an affected device (Android, Nokia, BlackBerry)? What are your thoughts on this issue? Will it drive you to root your phone?
From Wired: Though the software is installed on most modern Android, BlackBerry and Nokia phones, Carrier IQ was virtually unknown until 25-year-old Trevor... Read more →

Is it possible to override Whispersync?
While reading Steve Jobs today on my Nexus S, I stupidly clicked on a title that linked me to the notes section of the book which is about 79% through the book but I'm actually just about 10% through the book. When I went I back to the Kindle to read the book, it tried to sync to the 79% position since it's the "furthest page read."
Is there a way for me to manually mark the current page I'm on for Whispersync to sync across my devices? I often switch between my phone and Kindle and it would...

Has the media experience on Android improved since 2.2?
So ICS and the Galaxy Nexus have me contemplating going back to Android for the first time since I sold my OG Droid back in January when the Verizon iPhone came out. These days most apps seem to be centered around the web anyways so I don't anticipate much headache switching most of my stuff over to Android. And I'll be keeping my iPad, so most of my iOS games and apps won't be going to waste. The one area where I remember Android giving me trouble though was with all my iTunes media,...

Android Lockscreen Upgrade? (Looking for advice from users)
I am looking at two as options:
1. WidgetLocker Lockscreeen
2. Lockmenu
Both cost $1.99
Both have the ability to add additional sliders to the lock screen for launching different things.
WidgetLocker Lockscreen allows you to add apps, shortcuts , sliders, and widgets to your lockscreen.
Looking for advice from people who have used them, including:
Useful or Gimmick?
Which is better and why?
Pros. and Cons.
Any other suggested apps that I should consider
Thanks

Will amazon release magazine and video on demand apps for other devices?
Really compelling as I have a Roku and some Amazon Video content. Why not open it up to everyone?

Does your Android phone randomly go into airplane mode?
I have a Samsung Transform with Android 2.2, and I've been having this really annoying issue where I'll notice that my phone will say "No service" and won't be connected to a network. The airplane mode icon isn't displayed in the status bar, but if I go into settings, it shows airplane mode as on. If I try to turn it off, though, it just stays on without any error or message. The only way I've found to get connected to the network again is to reboot the phone.

What is the best Twitter client for Android?
I recently asked a similar question about Android browsers on gdgt and now I'd like to see what Twitter clients other users prefer. Once again, this question is pretty subjective and again, I'm not looking for any cool features. What I need in a Twitter client is for it to be fast and have a nice clean interface.
I'm used to the iPhone official Twitter app but have tried Twitter, TweetDeck, Seesmic, Twicca, and Twidroyd (UberSocial) on Android. I find many of their interfaces to be rather... Read more →

What is the best Android browser?
I know this is a highly subjective question and I'm pretty sure something similar has been asked on gdgt before so let me elaborate on what I mean by "best Android browser." I'm not looking for any fancy features or integration with the desktop browser but am rather looking for the fastest Android browser that will also render all pages correctly. Here are the browsers I currently have downloaded/am looking at - stock Gingerbread, Firefox, Opera Mini, Opera Mobile, Dolphin HD, Dolphin Mini....

Are there any true World Phones available across all US Carriers?
I am currently a disgruntled T-mobile customer that wants to keep his contract-free plan and GSM (Galaxy S; Vibrant) phone/ Tab. I can't go to AT&T because T-mo uses different bands and Verizon/ Sprint are completely out because their bands are incompatible. Is there any Android-based (or any) phone in existence that supports all the major US carriers? Am I stuck with the US carrier that I start with? is there no way to change carriers without getting stuck in a Contract or outright buying...

Keyboard response too slow?
Has anyone experienced a slow responding (soft) keyboard when typing. It's like it has to catch up my speed, and it it misspell words because it didn't register that I pressed them. Any solutions? I've tried alternate keyboards already including Swiftkey X.

what phone should I buy?
I'm looking to upgrade my current piece of crap motorola charm with a new smartphone. I want something that has decent battery life (8-9 hours), a large enough screen for videos (resolution is not very important to me), dual core processor (I'm a heavy mobile multitasker) and possibly a qwerty keyboard, though this isn't as important. My budget is between $200-300. If any one could suggest a phone that fit my criteria, that will be great. I'm also most likely going to get it used if I can find...
