I listen to several podcasts that transmit a live feed at specific times during the day. Sometimes I want to listen to the live feed, but I can't figure out how to do this on my Android phone. I tried the Skyfire browser, which was suggested online, but could not get it to work. What do you suggest?
My phone is a Samsung Epic 4G running Froyo (2.2.1).
Streaming music is not really the point, I want to listen to games and tv shows (which I play/watch on my pc) on my stereo, which I connect to with my phone. I know that there has to be an android app to do this, along with maybe some companion pc app, or something??
I recently asked a similar question about Android browsers on gdgt and now I'd like to see what Twitter clients other users prefer. Once again, this question is pretty subjective and again, I'm not looking for any cool features. What I need in a Twitter client is for it to be fast and have a nice clean interface. I'm used to the iPhone official Twitter app but have tried Twitter, TweetDeck, Seesmic, Twicca, and Twidroyd (UberSocial) on Android. I find many of their interfaces to be rather...

I know this is a highly subjective question and I'm pretty sure something similar has been asked on gdgt before so let me elaborate on what I mean by "best Android browser." I'm not looking for any fancy features or integration with the desktop browser but am rather looking for the fastest Android browser that will also render all pages correctly. Here are the browsers I currently have downloaded/am looking at - stock Gingerbread, Firefox, Opera Mini, Opera Mobile, Dolphin HD, Dolphin Mini....

You know, those are those apps that let you use your iPad as an secondary display with a Mac or PC over WiFi. Was curious if there's anything similar out there for Android.
I'm currently deciding between the Inspire and the Atrix. I like the Inspire because it is supported by Cyanogenmod, but the Atrix isn't. I'm not a fan of Motoblur, but it seems the Atrix is a good phone despite that. Thoughts?
Which Android phone should I look at (from Ebay, Craigslist, etc.) which would be representative of the browsing and user experience on Android as a whole? I'm a developer needing to test websites across various mobile platforms. I have iOS, WebOS, and Windows Phone devices covered. I need to be able to test with Android. I could test with the emulator, but it's very slow. I'm mainly testing mobile websites, but may want to test apps from time-to-time too. I don't care about the carrier, because...
So for the longest time I've been wanting to unlock the true potential of my android phone. I've read a great deal online but it is not easy on my phone (mytouch slide 3g) and frankly with out any prior experience I want to learn from someone who knows what they are doing. (I learn much better from someone then just reading about it online) So long story short does anyone know a way that I can contact someone near me (Los Angeles) who can help me learn how to root and flash my phone? I know it...

) and when I logged in with my Google account for the first time each device didn't just sync my contacts, email, and calendar as it usually does, all of my apps where automatically installed on each device. It's really awesome -- I always dread having to go through and reinstall my apps every time I test a new phone -- but did I miss when this was announced/introduced? Or am I just blanking and everyone already knows about this?
I'm doing an article for my Professional Writing class, and while I'm looking specifically for apps essential to students, I'm looking for a few choice quotes that answer why your device of choice (whether it be Android, iOS, or Blackberry OS) fits into your life so well. Of course there's the fact that it's portable and can take the place of many other devices, etc, but what about specifics?
I wonder if this Apple's ploy to get 3G users upgrade to iPhone4. I don't like this a bit, and I am looking at alternatives (i.e Android). Problem with Android phones - there are too many to choose from !! :) What is the best Android phone out there right now? I don't mind switching to a different carrier. Some of the choices I am hearing are - Droid X, Samsung Captivate Galaxy S, HTC EVO. Anything else? What do gdgt users recommend?
The problem is that I live in Australia and don't have great access to Android devices. Does anyone know of a cost effective, 3" to 5" screen (tablet size not entirely out of the question but smaller size preffered), wifi enabled (3g unnecessary) Android device that I could use for Android game reviews? Am I also correct in assuming that it needs to be Android 2.0, 2.1 or 2.2 capable to be compatible with the latest games?
I plan on rooting it, then allowing sideloading as well as getting rid of the ATT bloatware. But before I make those changes, I want to create a backup so that in case of emergency, I can restore to the factory settings. Anyone know how to do this or a good recovery tool? Thanks
