Anyone have game recommendations for Android besides Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja?
If you like tower defense games, you should definitely download Guns'n'Glory and HexDefense. Really fun to just pick up and play, also very challenging! How important is the 'Google experience' to Android nowadays?
The biggest complaint I've heard from people regarding Android is the custom skins that add no compelling features, and the biggest argument for Android is it's integration with the Google cloud, however large parts of the cloud are actually inaccessible from Android in it's current state without the aid of third party apps form the Marketplace. HTC's latest version of sense is proof enough that the custom skins the handset manufacturers place on their Android phones...

Doesn't it just piss you off when people call all Android devices "droids"?
It's the equivalent of saying "iTouch" in place of iPod Touch. But do you think it's okay to call Android sets, "Androids" (ie Which Android is that?) or is it just as bad?

Android wallpaper app, "My Little Pony" steals user info?
This is pretty horrific news! Apparently, a popular wallpaper app in the Android marketplace has been sending various bits of user data to servers in China. This data includes "SIM card numbers, text messages, browsing history, and voicemail passwords." It's been downloaded somewhere between 1 million and 4.6 million times (the marketplace apparently doesn't provide a reliable way to track downloads at the moment). Anyway, more info here:...

When I heard that Twitter for Android was now out, I was excited to find out what a first party client would bring to the party. http://blog.twitter.com/2010/04/twitter-for-androi... However, it turns out that you have to have version 2.1 in order to even find it in the marketplace - I tried scanning the QR code and got nothing. This comes hot on the heals on the latest delay of the 2.1 upgrade for the Hero until June at the earliest, which is just the latest in a string of...

TAT for Android
http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/15/tat-home-the-ge... Well as some would know TAT provided a bunch of the UI elements for Android and now they have or are making a home replacement app. Now it may be a lot of eye candy but I see a lot of functionality in the video, on top of it running very fast on a Hero of all phones, which means most phones should be able to run it just as fast sans the dream but I am sure going to try to. On their site there is a...

Android running a Microwave
Well its official Android is becoming the backbone of the new age, http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/09/touch-revolutio... This is just one step away from android running on a toaster. I think the concept of having android running in all my household appliances very appealing, at least to me. Imagine a washing machine that could text you when the clothes are done, or control your heating/air conditioning that you could adjust by texting the android...

Can I install this on my Nokia 6300?
This is probably a stupid question but is it possible to install Android on any mobile phone? I like the look of it and I would like to put it onto my mobile phone (also known as a "cell" in the US). I have a Nokia 6300 and for those who don't know it does not have a touchscreen but has a 2 megapixel camera. =[ If it is possible to install it, how would I do that for my phone?
Google Phone Rumors/News
I'm sure most everyone has heard about the Google Phone rumors on TechCrunch & Gizmodo: 1. http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/11/17/thegoogle-pho... 2. http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/11/18/the-google-ph... 3. http://gizmodo.com/5415169/leak-the-google-phone-i... It surprised me to learn that despite the fact that a site like TechCrunch & Gizmodo put their rep on the line by coming out w/ a fairly bold statement, several sites like Cnet are...

Motorola Android Smartphone
Have used it for two weeks now. First two phones each had minor problems. Verizon swapped them out without question. My past phones have been Kyocera Smartphone then Treo 600 then Treo 650 then Blackberry Worldphone (w/o camera) then Blackberry Curve and NOW the Android. This info only to add perspective on my current take on the technology. When the iPhone came out, I stayed away because the ATT network really sucks, at least in my market - San Diego. As a minimum a cell phone should operate...

Best Android Phone on T-Mobile?
What is the best Android phone on T-Mobile right now? I really want to upgrade to an android phone and I'm just confused as to the different options on Tmo right now. Is it worth waiting for a new device or are the current devices good enough to hold their own? Thanks.
