Video Icon next to name in Gmail Chat
Hi, I am really pissed off with this Video icon next to my chat name in Gmail. Is there any way I can remove this video button?

Do you ever get told your Gmail has been accessed from a different country?
I got this a few weeks ago...it said my account had been accessed from France. It suggested if I wasn't in France I should change my password. I did. Today I got a notice saying it had been accessed from Japan. Changed my password again but for some reason I feel like this is some error. Just wondering if anyone else ever gets this but doesn't buy into it?

Why is iMessage on the desktop seen as such a revolutionary thing?
I've listened to several podcasts and read several articles about OS X Mountain Lion since it was announced earlier this week and I can't help but feel annoyed at how the tech pundits give so much praise to the fact that iMessage is now running on a desktop. For example, The Verge states that, "WHEN IMESSAGE WORKS, IT DEFINITELY FEELS LIKE THE FUTURE." and Cult of Mac states that iMessage will, "...free our cellphones from the slavery of wireless carrier texting plans."

Closed platform? Open platform?
I'm interested to see what the overall feeling is in 2012 in regards to this. I have been a simultaneous Android and Blackberry/WP7 user over the years and I always prided myself in my Android loyalty and scoffed at those who claimed the open-ness of Google's OS hampered the overall user experience. Last month I received my first iPhone and I think I'm starting to pull a 180. I believe at this point, especially after experiencing iOS firsthand, Google should really consider pulling in the reigns...

Galaxy Nexus or iPhone 4S?
I wanted to buy myself an iPhone, but then I saw the advert. of Samsung Galaxy Nexus on the tv and I started wondering wich phone is better? I know they are hardly comparable because of the different OS they are using. But wich of the phones would you prefer to have or already have?

What's your ecosystem for uploading, editing, backing up and sharing your photos and videos?
It's the time of year for picture and video taking. I'd love to hear how others, especially parents and hobbyists, set up their systems for uploading, editing, sharing, viewing, and backing up their photos and videos? I'm a little all over the place. I did recently buy a WD drive that will share my media across several computers and, ostensibly, over the web. I'm on Flickr and just started using Picasa Web Albums. I'm more interested in sharing and viewing than backing up. Are Flickr and Picasa...

What is the release date of Chromebook 2?
Any idea when the next gen will be coming out? I know they're selling like hotcakes since the $50 price reduction and it's a product that's supposed to get faster through software over time, but I still never trust first gen products.
Anyone with experience with the Acer vs the Samsung? Also is the 100MB of 3G data/month worth $100? I love the price range of these, the only thing holding me back from unleashing $400 on an Acer 3G model or $300 on the Wifi only model is that it's the first gen...

Is it worth it to 'opt-out' and add '_nomap' to our SSID to protect our network from Google?

Anyone know how to move "people tags" from Picasa to Aperture 3 "faces"?
I'm currently moving form Picasa to Aperture on OS X and I don't really want to retag everyone who is in my photos all over again, anyone know if there is a quicker way by transfer the tags information into the Aperture library?

Google Music apparently limits uploads to 20K songs but my account shows more than that. What's going on?
When Google Music beta debuted earlier this year, I immediately set about uploading my entire library to the cloud. Despite using services like Rdio and Spotify, there was still music in my collection that wasn't available via any online services. One of the restrictions Google (and also iTunes) place on their music lockers is that users are limited to about 20,000 songs.
Currently, there are about 23K songs in my library. After setting up the Google Music upload app to upload the contents of my... Read more →

Will the galaxy nexus be on at&T?
I'm looking for articles from the most credible source you can find, because I can't find any. And a date would be wonderful.

Is there any Android@Home gear available yet?
Just saw an interview on BGR with the Lighting Science Group CEO and he talked about a partnership with Google on Android@Home. I had forgotten what Android@Home was! But then it all came back to me and I remembered how Google talked it up so much back in May. So I was wondering, are there any cool gadgets available yet or, at least, visible on the horizon? A quick Google search returned nothing so I figured I'd ask here.
