I've never had a problem with theft before but I've had two of these GPSs stolen recently.
Not the manufacturers fault but I wish there was a password that if not entered on a regular schedule would brick the system.

The nuvi 255W and 255WT are fine devices but you can see where Garmin did something sleazy. The suction cup mount that comes with them doesn't quite fit.
The GPSs never click into place. They're barely held in place. Big pumps send the GPS flying across your dashboard. I've bought both the 255W and 255WT and they're both like this, so it's not an isolated case. Of course, packed in the box are lots of advertisements for expensive optional portal mounts.
