G-Tech makes a really nice external hard-drive. I love both my G-Drive and G-Drive Mini. They are great.
Here are my main things I love:
Fast performance.
Quiet.
Three year warranty.
Lot of ports.
Optimised for OSX and Timemachine
Stylish aluminium case.
I love having that three year warranty, it gives me piece of mind. The indicator light isn't too bright and even when writing to the hard-drive it is quiet which is important to me because I have my office and computer in my bedroom. I will keep buying G-Drives until I can afford an investment like a Drobo.
