The G-Technology G-Connect is a try-hard portable/wireless storage device that doesn't achieve much in the end.

The G-Connect hard drive is a puzzle. It does a decent job of storing your data, and makes it convenient for your iOS device to access media content from it wirelessly. But there are a staggering amount of hoops you need to jump through just to set it up and configure it for use.

Due to the G-Connect’s need for a wired power source, sluggish USB 2.0 connectivity, and its frustrating lack of Wi-Fi passthrough, we can’t recommend it as a portable storage solution to iOS users on the go.

While there’s no clear victor in the external iOS storage market right now, G-Technology has done a good job of making G-Connect stand out from its rivals.
