The Fujitsu ScanSnap S1100 is highly portable and easy to use, but like other ScanSnap models, it doesn't come with a standard scan driver, which would give it more flexibility.

This small, A4 scanner from Fujitsu is very convenient to use: it draws its power from a USB port and it can be used right there at your desk to scan loose sheets of paper one at a time. Some useful software ships with it, too, although its business card scanning software isn't great.

The quality of photo scans stumbles, but for all sorts of text-based documents, the ScanSnap S1100 is a mighty mini scanner.
